Regarding the cover image to this post, not going to lie.. I’ve sent out a few shady “who’s this?” texts back in the day, when you know damn well who that is. Well ladies and gents, today we don’t have time to be shady. We’ve got dreams to chase, and goals to create. The first step to making your dream life a reality is abandoning your comfort zone and let yourself look like an idiot. That’s right! If you want to master something you have to let yourself be a beginner. Which means you’re going to make mistakes, it’s not going to be perfect, and you’re going to want to quite 9/10 of the time. But you need to gain the will power and determination along with consistency, in order to reach these goals.
You’ve got to build new habits to change the result. If you’re body isn’t where you want it to be, you start lifting at the gym and make healthier choices. If you want to be a morning person, slowly start going to bed an hour earlier and waking up an hour earlier. It’s a process it takes about a month if not more to build strong habits, there will always be distractions you just have to have the dedication to stay on track.
Once you learn consistency and dedication it flourish in every aspect of your life. You will be more inspired to try new things, and have the confidence to take anything head on.
I challenge you take make a list with three columns. The first column stating what you are currently doing that is positively impacting your life and supporting your goals. The second column are habits you are doing that don’t support your goals and negatively impacting you. In the third column write new habits to place in your daily routine that will get you closer to where you want to be. Sometimes it’s effective to write lists here and there to keep ourselves accountable. By breaking down goals, little by little, they don’t seem so out of reach. Focus on these 24 hours in front of you, ask yourself “What is one thing I can do today, that will get me closer to my goal?” Start little, it’s better than not starting at all.
By the way happy Monday y’all! It’s a start of a new week with endless possibilities. Thanks for checking in, I’ll be going out of town this weekend so stay tuned for the mystery destination.. I’ll be doing a few posts from there.
